Alternative Earths helps UCR welcome students from Sendai, Japan

Alternative Earths members joined the UCR Earth Sciences Department, Physics & Astronomy Department and Riverside STEM Academy in welcoming visiting high school students from Sendai, Japan. Postdoctoral Fellow Dan Gregory (UCR) of the Lyons (UCR) group received recognition for an outstanding thesis during the year of his graduation from the University of Tasmania, Australia.

Graduate students to participate in summer schools and workshops for geochemistry and astrobiology

Postdoc Dan Gregory (UCR) receives NASA Astrobiology Early Career Collaboration Award

Postdoctoral Fellow Dan Gregory (UCR) received the NASA Astrobiology Early Career Collaboration Award to work with Steve Romaniello (ASU) and Aleisha Johnson (ASU) in examining the rates and mechanisms of pyrite oxidation. Gregory studied at the University of Tasmania, Australia before beginning his fellowship at UCR with Professor Tim Lyons.
